Most roofing companies quote every job the same way, wherever it is. We only work in a one-square-mile city where almost every roof is flat — so that’s the only kind of roof we quote.
A generalist roofer who covers a whole metro area quotes shingles by default, because that’s what most of the region has. Hoboken is different — brownstones, row houses and brick walk-ups built wall-to-wall, almost every one of them under a flat or low-slope roof behind a street parapet.
We built Apex Roofing around that one fact. We don’t send a crew here from a shingle job across the river and hope the details translate. Parapet flashing, party-wall leaks, drain and scupper layout, historic-district review on the Washington Street corridor — this is the only roofing we do, on the only city we cover.
See what we do
Four things we hold to on every roof, regardless of the building or the visitor.
Every estimate is scope, materials and price on paper, after an actual inspection — never a number guessed over the phone.
A full replacement is the bigger invoice. We quote it when the roof actually needs it, not by default.
Insurance documentation available on request — not just a claim in the footer.
We don’t stretch into three counties to fill a schedule. Every neighborhood in Hoboken, and nowhere outside it.
Building permits filed as part of the job. Historic-district review checked before a start date is ever quoted.
On shared party walls a leak can travel before it shows. We trace it before we patch anything.
Hoboken’s building stock is as varied as its blocks — a single-owner brownstone, a multi-unit walk-up, a condo board on the Waterfront, a GC mid-renovation. The roof conversation is different for each.
Downtown to the 15th Street line, river to river — the whole city, no exceptions.
An inspection, a written estimate, and a straight answer — at no cost and with no obligation.
